Lass holds on to take valuable prize
KYLEAKIN Lass made it one for the girls when landing the richest race of the day at Ffos Las yesterday.
The three-year-old filly was a neck winner of the OJ Williams Supplier of Fuel and Lubricants Handicap, worth more than £8,000 to the winner.
Jockey Joe Fanning brought the winner to challenge inside the final furlong and she held on gamely from Cheveton.
Jillnextdoor got favourite backers off to the perfect start when landing the fillies' maiden.

And she did it in the style that an odds-on shot should, being pushed clear in the closing stages to record an easy three-length triumph.
But there was an upset in the Carlsberg Nursery, as the 9-4 favourite Clear Blow finished last of the five runners. Instead the prize went the way of Vincentti, trained in Monmouthshire by Ronald Harris.
There was another shock in the valuable Double Dragon Handicap, with the 14-1 shot Forest Edge battling to a neck victory over Ashpan Sam.
The duo had it between them throughout the final furling, but Forest Edge kept on gamely to hold on.
