Language pledge to leaders
ON Saturday Cymdeithas yr Iaith (the Welsh Language Society) will present a pledge to council leaders signed by more than 1,500 in Carmarthenshire calling for action to support the language.
It was launched following a rally in Carmarthen in January.
The signatories have pledged to live their lives through the medium of Welsh and call on the council and other bodies to support them.
It also calls for safeguards to protect the future of Welsh- speaking communities.
