A BACK lane has been improved in Skewen.

The state of the lane, which is off Woodland Road, had been a cause for concern for residents and councillors.

But now improvement work has been carried out thanks to councillor Mike Harvey, of Coedffranc North.

Aberavon MP Dr Hywel Francis said he wanted to congratulate Mr Harvey on his work.

"In a very short time since his election, councillor Mike Harvey has worked with Welsh Water to achieve a considerable improvement to the back lane and its drainage."
