TOP-CLASS racing meets high fashion at Ffos Las tomorrow night.

The Carmarthenshire course marks its third birthday with its annual Ladies' Night.

The major race of the evening is the £20,000 Sinclair Audi Handicap Chase. Five runners go to post, with Vale of Glamorgan trainer Evan Williams holding a strong hand with two entries.

The one with the best chance looks to be West With the Wind, a decent novice last season, but who will carry top weight of 11st 12lb. Cootehill, who has been in fine form so far this summer, could prove his biggest danger.

There is also a decent field assembled for the Sinclair Audi Handicap Hurdle, worth more than £7,700 to the winner.

The race has attracted runners from Ireland and the north of England, but the likely favourite will be Pilgrims Lane from the Gloucestershire yard of Martin Keighley.

Thousands of ladies will be dressing up and joining their partners or friends for an evening out. There will be live music before racing from Expecting Company and after racing with Take That 2, and valuable prizes can be won by the Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Gent, Best Young Designer and for the Best Hat, competitions.

The first race gets under way at 6.05pm with the closing event at 9.20pm.

Today's racecards are on pages 58-59.
