LEE TRUNDLE: If people kicked me - I'd just kick them back
MAYBE I winced a little bit more than everyone else at Callum McManaman's tackle on Massadio Haidara because I know what it's like to have players going out to hurt you.
I'm not saying the lad did it on purpose because, although the challenge didn't look good, it's impossible to tell from in front of a TV screen.
-

last laugh Lee Trundle learned how to deal with bad tackles in his Swans days.
But on the pitch, it can be crystal clear that your marker wants to put one on you.
And with the way I play, that happens a lot more regularly to me than it does to other players.

My tricks would frustrate defenders to the point that they couldn't wait to send me up in the air.
I just adopted the policy that if people kicked me I would kick them back.
You can't worry that someone is gearing up to really try to hurt you.
As soon as that happens, you've been put off your game and your opponent's won.
When a defender's gunning for you, it can work to your advantage.
They take their eye off the ball and lose their discipline, giving you a chance to exploit the situation.

“come on now lee , your a great talent and a joy to watch but you couldn't tackle a rice pudding let alone kick some big centre half. Lets not pretend you were a hard man so cut that act out right now”
