Kids get stuck into readathon
PUPILS at an Ammanford school have been enjoying the delights of reading this month.
Children at Blaenau Community Primary School have been taking part in a fundraising readathon, which is due to end on Monday.

The school's first bookworm-themed fortnight was organised by school teacher Helen Thomas.

She said: "We want it to encourage the children to read more and to raise funds for children's charities."
Some of the money raised will help the school buy new books, with the rest going to Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity and one other.
"We want to get the children to enjoy reading and to find new authors," she added.
"All of the children are very excited about the readathon and we hope to do it again."
