Kicking off habit
EX-RUGBY player and current Swansea councillor David Cole said he would like to approach Wales and Lions star Leigh Halfpenny with a view to becoming a healthy eating champion for Swansea schools.
Penryheol ward member Mr Cole said he knew the family from his association with the Blues star's former club, Gorseinon RFC.
"We have got a huge obesity problem in Wales, and Leigh has been such a disciplined individual from a young age," he said.
"It would be very good to get somebody of his standing to represent us."
Mr Cole, however, acknowledged reports in the media linking the three-quarter with a possible move to French club Toulon.
Swansea, meanwhile, already has a school meals' mascot, Captain Jack.
