SWANSEA City look poised to offer midfielder Kemy Agustien a second chance in the Championship.

The former Birmingham City player has impressed new Swans manager Brendan Rodgers this week after joining Swansea on their pre-season tour of Holland.

And chairman Huw Jenkins has revealed that the club are now planning contract talks with the 23-year-old's representatives.

"We will be meeting Kemy and his representatives over the next few days to talk through the options that may exist with him," Jenkins said.

"He has come in and done well, and it's up to Brendan to decide now how he will fit into the squad.

"It's a possibility that he will come back to Swansea with us so he can work with us next week."

Former Dutch under-21 cap Agustien is available on a free transfer after falling out of favour with Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar.
