JOHN Hartson believes Swansea City will beat Bradford "comfortably" in tomorrow's Capital One Cup final — but the ex-Wales striker has warned against the danger of an upset.

Lifelong Swans fan Hartson will be at Wembley to support Michael Laudrup's men, and he expects the Premier League side to overwhelm their League Two opponents.

But having been on the receiving end of cup shocks during his playing career, the former Arsenal and Celtic forward has urged Swansea not to take Bradford for granted.

"I think Swansea will win the game comfortably because I think they'll have too much quality for Bradford," said Hartson.

"The cup final is a day you can enjoy but it's very important you win because nobody remembers the losing side.

"I've won and lost big cup finals, and I also remember playing for West Ham when they lost to Swansea in the early rounds.

"I played in seven finals during my career. I won three and lost four, so I know how it feels on both sides."

Hartson is now an assistant coach with Wales and he combines those duties with his media career — but the Swansea supporter has put work to one side this weekend.

"I've turned down all work commitments so I'll just be there as a fan," he said.

"I'm going to take my son and I just want to be among the fans. I'll have my Swans scarf on and hopefully celebrating at the end."

“Shame never saw you play in Swans shirt, Up there with the best centre forwards over the last 20 years.”
