Jessops to close all stores
A TOTAL of 1,370 jobs will be lost across the UK as high street photographic chain Jessops is closing all its shops.
The chain, which has run an outlet on Belle Vue Way in Swansea for 26 years, became the first retail casualty of 2013 when it went into administration on Wednesday.
The Swansea store employs four staff and, along with 186 stores across the UK, was due to close for good by the end of business today.
Rob Hunt, of administrator PricewaterhouseCoopers, said: "This is an extremely sad day for Jessops and its employees.

"We are very grateful for the support we have received since our appointment and we will continue to ensure that employees are paid as they assist us during the closure.
"The stock will be collected over the coming days and returned to a central warehouse.
"It will be returned to suppliers if they are entitled to it."
