Jason Smith hails Leon Britton
JASON Smith has hailed Leon Britton as the Swansea City midfielder prepares to return to West Ham.
Smith was nearing the end of his career when a young Britton arrived at Swansea on loan from the Hammers in 2002. Few would have predicted that would be the start of an association with the club that has now stretched into a second decade. But one thing was clear — Britton's talent.

"The crowd loved him because he was an amazing footballer.

"He did things with the ball that excited the crowd like no other.
"And I remember him being as good a person as he was a player."
Britton should start in midfield at Upton Park tomorrow, more than ten years since making his Swansea debut.
