Jamie Borley: An introduction
Jamie is 30 and once worked at the Ford factory as an
electro-mechanical technician.
But that is all behind him now. He decided to take voluntary
redundancy and go and travel Central and South America.
He spent ten months backpacking from Guatemala to Chile (via
every other country) and on the way had many adventures with
thieves, bars, beaches, Colombian jungles, corrupt officials,
Salsa music, horses, football and surfing.
He met many people from every country imaginable, including
his future wife whom he met in Chile. She is Chilean and he is
Welsh so they have lots of interesting conversations about Tom
Jones, Pinochet, Roberto Martinez and laver bread.
He is currently working freelance as an English teacher and
enjoying it more than he thought he would, given that he used
to detest public speaking.
He enjoys playing football and cricket and loves to learn to
read, write, and travel when he can.
