Jaksi up next for Macca
ENZO Maccarinelli will face Hungarian Krisztian Jaksi on the Amir Khan undercard at Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena on Saturday.
Budapest-based Jaksi, 24, has a record of six wins, 12 losses and four draws.
Maccarinelli heads into the fight looking to rebuild his career after three knock-out defeats in his last four fights.
The 29-year-old former WBO cruiserweight champion was floored by Russian Denis Lebedev in July having previously been beaten by Ola Afolabi four months earlier and David Haye a year before that.
Retirement
Maccarinelli's only victory since facing Haye was at heavyweight over unknown Mathew Ellis.
The Swansea fighter contemplated retirement after his latest defeat but will return to a bill headlined by Khan, who defends his WBA light-welterweight crown against Dmitriy Salita.
Maccarinelli still has a formidable record of 29 wins — 22 by knockout — and four defeats.
After splitting with trainer Enzo Calzaghe following his loss to Afolabi, Maccarinelli joined Karl Ince's gym in Bolton.
But the big-hitter is now back in Swansea preparing with local trainer and former ABA champion Derek Lewis in Morriston.

“What a waste of time, Enzo has had his time go bow out now instead of fighting bums. It is happening all to often in boxing, even Kahn is fighting someone who couldn't knock out a baby.”
