Ireland to play through pain
STEPHEN Ireland says he is happy to play through the pain of a broken wrist to help struggling Aston Villa climb the table.
"They said the recovery would be six weeks but that after three-and-a-half I could play with a temporary cast, so I'm doing that," said the midfielder.

"It's not quite pain- free, but I can play and I don't want to be out any longer so I'm happy to do that, even if it is uncomfortable."
Villa's only league win to date this season came against Swansea.
