NEARLY 500 friends and family have signed up to a Facebook group in memory of tragic teen Adam Evans who fell to his death from Swansea's Sail Bridge.

The 18-year-old's body was recovered from the River Tawe last Thursday.

Floral tributes were left by friends along the bridge in the wake of the tragedy.

Following Adam's death, two Facebook groups have been set up so friends are able to pay special tribute to him.

Since one of the groups has been set up, a total of 421 members have joined.

One friend, Sophie 'Meg' Kift, said in a post on the site: "You've brought us another beautiful day angel.

"You'd be so proud to see how everyone is coping.

"We're all missing you boy, but we're trying our best to think of all the good times.

"Saw your mum today, we're all supporting her too."

Tributes

She added: "The bridge is full of tributes and you've made front page of the Post two days in a row . . . hope you're okay up there, Adam.

"You were, and always will be a shining star. Love you."

Another friend, Kayleigh Bateman, added: "Sweet dreams Ad."

Police confirmed Morriston teen Adam was seen jumping 13ft from the city bridge at 1am on Thursday after a night out with friends.

A large-scale search operation was mounted, which included police, coastguards, a helicopter with heat-seeking technology along with marina residents.

The search went on until 4pm when a team of five police divers recovered the body from the river.

His mum Lisa, along with Adam's younger brother, Ben, previously said: "All of us are naturally devastated by what has happened.

"But we are touched and take comfort from the overwhelming support we have received.

"Adam was a friend to all and a wonderful son, grandson, nephew and brother.

"He will be missed and remembered by everyone whose lives he touched."

She added: "He will for ever be in the hearts of his mother, brother, family and friends."

Swansea's coroner's office has confirmed a postmortem is expected to be held into his death this week.

“I was a Morriston Comprehensive School pupil and passed Adam every so often but never knew him personally.

Whatever the circumstances were surrounding his death, it's none of anyone's business but the family's.

He should be left to Rest In Peace and people should stop speculating about the causes.

If everyone had someone to turn to, to solve the problems we face in this world there'd be no need for such tragedies.

It's hardly surprising 500+ people have signed up to his Facebook group.

I'm sure he was a decent teenager. From what's been said people like Adam don't deserve to have their lives taken from them. No one does.

Thoughts are with your family, Adam.”

“I was disgusted because the new slabs and the grey pillar of the slip bridge had been vandalised by graffitti.

I don't find it acceptable for anyone to do this. Maybe the council will find the culprits and charge them for cleaning it up.

Hardly a fitting tribute to the young lad who lost his life.”

“Another contradictory article. Heading states he fell from the Sail Bridge whilst content states he jumped. Which is it?

Better reporting needed badly from this newspaper.”
