HUNDREDS of new neighbours have made a home in Ravenhill.

Residents have reported a huge number of starlings, who regularly take flight in swarms, making their home in Courtlands Way.

Resident Jill Trick said: "There are a collection of conifer trees, and they seem to have taken up residence there.

"You come outside and you can hear hundreds of them chattering and chirping,'' she added.

"I've lived here for more than 20 years, and neither I nor my neighbours can remember anything quite like it.

"It is awesome to watch.

"You can almost set your watch by them, when they are out flying.

"Their chattering goes on through the night, so I'm not sure what those living right by them must think.

"But it is an incredible sight."
