IF you're looking for a house with wow factor, then check out this stunning home in Mumbles.

Hill Breeze is in fact two homes in one, linked by a huge glass atrium that serves as an impressive entrance hall, as well as affording wonderful views across Swansea Bay and Oystermouth Castle.

It's a unique property that has been painstakingly created by owners Paul and Julie Reed over the past 15 years.

"It was originally two detached houses. We bought the first one just before we got married. It was a complete wreck so we ripped it apart and lived in a building site for a couple years," said Julie.

"Then, when I was expecting my daughter, the house next door came up for sale. That needed complete renovation too. We must have been mad but we decided to buy it and link the two houses together. It was my husband's idea to do it by building the glass atrium."

The couple have been working on turning the house into a fabulous show home ever since. Paul is a builder and carpenter and you can see the attention to detail everywhere in the solid oak staircases and floors, the polished granite, natural stone tiling and attractive mosaic detail.

"It's been hard work but it's worth it because the house is incredible now," said Julie.

Every room has those panoramic views over Mumbles, the castle and the bay. The dining room has huge windows on three sides of the room, and the view from the kitchen sink must make washing up much less of a chore.

"The view is fabulous, on a clear day you can see Sugar Loaf Mountain in the Brecon Beacons and even in the night it is sparkling with all the lights around the bay," said Julie.

The split level atrium is good for star gazing, and for hosting concerts too, as there is room for a baby grand piano.

"We put up a 12ft Christmas tree and have a carol concert in here every year," said Julie.

The house is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbles yet is just minutes away from everything the village has to offer.

"It's so lovely and quiet here, every day is like a Sunday. But it's so close to everything that I never use the car. My daughter's school is a three minute walk, the shops are five minutes away and the beach at Langland is a 10 minute walk."

The accommodation is arranged so that there is dining room, kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms and study on one side of the house, while on the other side there is a lounge, master bedroom, and two further bedrooms and a bathroom.

The lovely master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a double shower and Jacuzzi bath, plus walk-in wardrobes. It also has patio doors opening onto a Juliette balcony.

"I love this room. I can lie in bed and look out over that amazing view," said Julie. "It will be sad to leave but my husband loves a project and he's already got his eye on another one."

The house also has two large double garages and a big basement area that could also be converted into a living space.

Outside, there is a raised patio and barbecue area with great views, lawned areas, mature trees, and driveway parking for several cars.

Everything you could ever wish for!
