Hounds out for Boxing Day hunt
THE annual Boxing Day hunts proved a popular attraction in the county despite bitterly cold conditions.
Despite the name, the hunts took place last Monday, December 27, as hunts are not traditionally held on a Sunday.
Numbers were down at Banwen Miners' Hunt due to the bitter conditions, with hunt master George Guntrip stating: "The weather was against us, I for one couldn't get my horse out of the stable until Monday."
Meanwhile, Llandeilo hunt, starting from Bradford Square, proved hugely popular with hundreds attending.
However, atrocious ground conditions led to the hounds making a very brief appearance.
Carmarthen and Meidrim also held its annual hunt at Meidrim, led by master Michael Watts.
