Horse riding school to keep outdoor arena
A LLANDYBIE horse riding school has been allowed to keep an outdoor riding arena by county planners despite the concerns of a neigh- bouring national park authority.
The retrospective application by Dinefwr Riding Centre, in Cregian, Llandyfan, is to retain an outdoor riding arena and a car parking area with spaces for 19 vehicles and four larger parking spaces for horse box parking.
It is also intended to relocate part of the existing riding school to this site.
Concerns were raised by the Brecon Beacons National Park, which feels the riding arena and car park will appear as a form of random sporadic development that would have a detrimental impact on the visual amenity of the nearby national park.
However, county planners were told the development would be screened by existing vegetation. The application was approved.
