Horse dies after collision with car in Swansea
A HORSE has died after a collision with a vehicle in Swansea.
Officers believe the collision took place at about 11pm on Sunday on the road between Gowerton and Penclawdd.
But the driver of the vehicle failed to stop or report the matter to police.
A vet was called to examine the horse, which was thought to be one of the local marsh ponies, but due the severity of the injuries, it had to be destroyed.
An examination of the debris left at the scene has led officers to believe the vehicle involved was possibly a Hyundai car which was a metallic dark green in colour.
It is highly likely the vehicle involved is substantially damaged.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information on the offending vehicle should contact police in Swansea on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
