Hi-tech threat on agenda
SWANSEA University has hosted a two day conference on the dangers of cyber terrorism.
Researchers and academics from Australia, Ireland and across Britain met to discuss a range of issues around the use of the internet to mount attacks on computer networks, information and data.
Governments around the world are becoming increasingly concerned the threat from cyber attacks on national security and on economic targets.
Stuart Macdonald, senior lecturer in Swansea University's School of Law, said: "Although the term has been around for over 20 years there isn't a consensus on what it refers to."
