Help walk to shine a light
ORGANISERS of a networking walk aiming to connect two Neath villages are appealing for help to light the way.
The evening time walk, which will take place on Sunday, October 27, is being organised by Darren Nichols - the brains behind the idea for a Sanctuary in Aberdulais.
But to make the walk safe, tealights will be lined along the path - connecting Aberdulais and Cadoxton by candlelight.
To keep the candles safe and dry, Mr Nichols is appealing for 2,000 baby food jars to hold them.
So far, they have had a few hundred donated, but they still need more to line the whole route, which will be along the Tenant canal.
"It's another walk to bring all areas of the community together," said Mr Nichols.
"Betts Nursery has given us their car park for free parking on the night, we'll be doing the walk down the canal from there with the candles lighting the way."
People can drop off jars at the Yankee Candle shop in Llansamlet, Zoars, Mucky Pups Dog Grooming, Tonna, Betts in Cadoxton, Kidz Korner in Melin and at Resolven Building Blocks.
