Heavy snow falls across parts of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion
HEAVY snow fell across parts of West Wales this morning (Friday), carpeting upland areas and closing many schools.
Pupils were given the day off except those teenagers sitting their AS and A level exams.
The top of the Gwendraeth Valley saw heavy snow fall and the M4 was down to one lane.
Snow also fell around the Lampeter area but other parts, including the lower Teifi Valley and Towy Valley were largely unaffected by major disruption.

Many business also remained closed as staff members stayed at home.
