Health service shake-up deadline
THE deadline for views about hospital reorganisation across South West Wales is fast approaching.
People have until this Friday to make their views known about changes being considered by the Hywel Dda Health Board.
The board's preferred option for emergency care would see a nurse-led local accident centre and an acute emergency medical admissions unit created at Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli, with a full A&E available at Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen.
Prince Philip would become a centre of excellence for planned orthopaedic surgery.
