Hat's off to Bishop Vaughn pupils cancer charity efforts
PUPILS at a Swansea school do not need lessons in compassion and caring.
When the classmates of Bishop Vaughan comprehensive pupil, Christopher Grey, learned that their friend was raising money for cancer, following his father being diagnosed with a brain tumour, they all chipped in. All together they helped raise over £1,000 through a raffle and hat day.
Head of Year, Becky Wilshire, said: "I'm very proud of the dedication shown by the whole of year eight in raising such an impressive sum for Brain Tumour Research."

“Well done Bishop Vaughan school !! Christopher is working really hard raising money for the Brain Tumour Research charity in memory of his father Jeff Grey who passed away at the end of November last year. We're doing a fancy dress sponsored walk from LC2 down to Verdi's on 6th July and a charity variety show in the Clase social club on 18th July. He's determined to do something about finding a cure for brain tumours so nobody else has to feel the heartbreak at losing a loved one as he has.”
