Hands-on way to learn road safety

YOUNGSTERS from Llangennech School were invited to a special day to learn about the dangers of lorries.

Staff at Owens Logistics decided to teach pupils about the vehicles due to the opening of their new authorised testing facility near the school this week after residents expressed safety concerns.

Manager Ian Jarman, whose two daughters attend the school, said lorries were an important part of life which children needed to be aware of.

"As a parent I want to make sure the kids are safe," said Mr Jarman.
