Hain joins board of West African gold mining firm
NEATH MP Peter Hain has become a non-executive director on the board of a West African gold mining company.
The former Welsh secretary has been hired as a independent non-executive director of dual AIM and TSX listed West African focused gold mining company Amara Mining.
John McGloin, Executive Chairman of Amara, said: "We are delighted to welcome Peter to the board of Amara to focus on the corporate social responsibility, community relations and environmental aspects of the business together with broader African political relations.
"He brings with him valuable experience in African politics, which complements the skill set of our other board members.
