Griffiths in form for Harriers
SWANSEA Harriers enjoyed a successful day at the BUPA Great Edinburgh Cross Country international.
The event, where an Aviva Great Britain and Northern Ireland team took on USA and Europe, saw five Harriers compete, with Carmarthen's Dewi Griffiths leading the way to finish third in the under-20 men's race.
Llanelli's Liam Lloyd was 30th in the male under-17s with Connor Davies just a couple of seconds behind. Jac Hopkins also produced an encouraging run to finish 40th.
In the women's under-20s race, 14-year-old Olivia Gwynn produced a remarkable run to be the first Welsh runner home and the first Brit under-17 home. Olivia beat a host of older runners.
