Greats help say farewell to Swansea's own Busby Babe Kenny Morgans
HE was Swansea's Busby Babe — a term synonymous with cruelly squandered sporting talent.
Kenny Morgans was the youngest survivor of the richly talented Manchester United team cut down before their prime in the 1958 Munich air disaster, which claimed 23 lives.
And mourning Busby Babes Sir Bobby Charlton, Alex Stepney and Wilf McGuinness helped pack Morriston Crematorium to say their farewells to the 73-year-old family man.
Also present was Sandy Busby, whose manager father Sir Matt gave his name to the young tyros.

Team-mates and friends from Mr Morgans' playing days with Swansea, such as Mel Nurse, Mel Charles, Herbie Williams, Barrie Jones and David Gwyther, also attended yesterday's service.
Standing next to former goalkeeper Stepney yesterday was Swansea man John Burgum, who grew up watching the Busby Babes and got to know Mr Morgans well in later years.
"He was a decent player and a decent man," he said.
"I was 13 when it (Munich plane crash) happened, then I became a Swansea fan and saw Kenny play a number of times."
Mr Burgum, who became football correspondent for the Evening Post, said Mr Morgans would talk to him about his time with Manchester United and the Swans.
"He was a lovely man to talk to — very humble," he said. "I got to know him really well about eight years ago when he became a relief steward at a club in Uplands, which I belonged to. He would chat to all the members."
It is understood that an act of remembrance will take place at the Liberty Stadium when Swansea host United in the Premier League on December 23.
"Manchester United never, ever forgot him," said Mr Burgum, of Fforestfach.
