A WOMAN who "died" twice has been told it's a miracle that she's alive.

Diabetic Wendy Corneby's family feared the worst after she was left seriously unwell following a sudden bout of sickness and diarrhoea.

Her 36-year-old son David immediately called out her Swansea Marina-based doctor.

Mrs Corneby said if it wasn't for the doctor's quick thinking in calling for an ambulance, and the care of staff at Singleton and Morriston hospitals, she would not be alive today.

The 62-year-old, who lives in the city centre, said she went into cardiac arrest twice. She paid full tribute to the care she received.

She said: "I did not know what was going on for a couple of days. The doctors called me a miracle and said I shouldn't be here."

She added: "The doctors were marvellous, and my grandchildren call me 'nanny lucky' — I must be."

“Why is the good doctor from marina not named? is it a case of modesty or as usual the Post finding it difficult to say anything good about our hard working local GPs?”
