OSPREYS talent Tom Grabham has been handed the captaincy of Wales sevens for this weekend's leg of the FIRA AER European Grand Prix series in Moscow.

Scrum-half Grabham, who plays his club rugby for Bridgend, takes the reins from Rhys Jones as Wales look to build on their fourth-place finish in Lyon last time out.

The experienced former Llandovery wing Ifan Evans is also drafted into a squad that contains exciting young players like Llanelli product Luke Treharne (Exeter University) and Carmarthen Quins duo James Davies and Jason Harries.

"Tom deserves such an opportunity because his level of performance and his maturity and leadership qualities within our environment have been excellent," said Wales assistant coach Gareth Williams.
