Government is too costly
DEMOCRACY is a fine thing when it can be afforded but in the present situation the best government would be a dictator who is right. David Cameron has the right ideas but he cannot implement them because he has to share power with Liberals who want to go more to the left.
Wales is overloaded with even more government — a Welsh Assembly and 22 county councils. Without an Assembly and fewer councils the Welsh Secretary could spend more on public services.

“Surely tribal leaders can be described as dictators as they come to power and rule virtually unaided. Are we saying that every tribal leader was a despot and that none had the best interests of their people at heart?
I think Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce might disagree.”

“Hey. That's a great idea.
Modelled on Plato's 'Republic'.
We could have a new flag e.g. a cross made of right angles (that'll appeal to the Angles).
An army that struts rather than marches.
And, this is a killer,
A leader who has a Charlie Chaplin moustache.
Why hasn't someone thought of that before?”

“Gwilym Levell is a Tory right-wing nutcase! Or has I would like to call him a small-minded person with a little Englander! Attitude towards Wales You only need to read one of his letters that he's written somewhere down the letters page with the headline (English will unite world) to see this all i can say is god help us if we had his kind running Wales! Talk about a dictatorship again this old fools's anti welsh language anti-Welsh Assembly anti anything that will benefit Wales he's just an old bitter man who can't believe that his English empire no longer runs the world! and sooner or later if scotland votes for independence other parts of the uk But at the same time he believes that Welsh people can't stand on their own feet and run their own affairs and still should be run from his beloved London!.”

“A dictator doesn't have to be evil - think more along the lines of a benign dictator, someone who genuinely wants to improve the lot of his people.”
