Golf hero Sergio Garcia is a big hit with Swansea City supporters
IT wasn't quite a comeback on a par with Ryder Cup proportions, but one of Europe's star golfers enjoyed his visit to the Liberty Stadium nevertheless.
Spanish superstar Sergio Garcia, who won two crucial points for the European golf team in Chicago last week as they completed the most remarkable comeback in Ryder Cup history, has been unveiled to Liberty supporters as a Swans fan.
The 32-year-old, whose sister is the partner of recent Swansea signing Pablo Hernandez, pitched up at the stadium for Saturday's Premier League clash with Reading.
Sat in a hospitality box, after walking on to the pitch to wave to the crowd, the Swan's newest super-fan must have questioned his wisdom as Reading went into a 2-0 lead before half time.

Fortunately, just as in America last weekend, the second half proved far more enjoyable for the golfing star as the Swans scored twice without reply to draw the game.
Earlier in the week he had watched Michael Laudrup's men train at their Llandarcy-based training ground, saying: "We came straight from the Ryder Cup to Swansea."
Speaking exclusively to the Evening Post, Garcia said: "Pablo is my sister's boyfriend so I came in with my parents to see them.
"We wanted to check the place out a little bit and to see my little nephew as well.
"It's my first time in Swansea, but I am a big football fan and obviously I'm a Swansea City fan now that Pablo is playing here."
A spokesman for the Swans said: "Obviously we were thrilled to have such a great golfer at the stadium.
"He was happy to go out and wave to the supporters before the game.
"He had a fantastic reception from the crowd, especially when he kissed the Swans badge on his top.
"He thoroughly enjoyed himself,'' he went on.
"From a club's point of view he was a fantastic guest and happy to have his picture taken with supporters before and after the game.
"Hopefully he will be back in the future and see us win."
the spokesman added that while the vast majority of the Swans players enjoyed a round of golf there were no offers of taking on the professional at his own game.
"There's no one at up to his standard," he said.
