Glantawe Lions to hold its tree of light campaign in Swansea Valley again
GLANTAWE Lions Club in the Swansea Valley will once again hold its Tree of Light project.
Members of the public can pay £5 to sponsor a light in memory of a loved one on Christmas trees in either Clydach, Morriston, Pontardawe or Ystradgynlais.
Each sponsor will be sent a remembrance card and will be invited to a dedication service which is held at the beginning of December at each tree.
The Morriston tree will aim to raise money for the Children's Burns Unit and Dyfed Ward at Morriston Hospital.
The Clydach tree will raise money for the Inco donations committee which will then pass it on to deserving causes in the village, the Pontardawe tree will help the town's food bank and in Ystradgynlais proceeds will go to its community hospital.
