Gill's shop makes big day special
GILL Jenkins is any bride-to-be's secret weapon.
Why exactly? Well, her independent Swansea store with 20 years of experience behind it sells beautiful gowns with wow factor. And she's got a long list of happy customers behind her to prove just how on the mark she is.

Victoria's Bridal specialises in unique wedding dresses. The small, family business employs four staff dedicated to providing the ultimate wedding day boost.
Owner Gill initially opened in Llansamlet before moving to Orchard Street, where it is now located.
She says independent businesses such as hers are all about family and providing excellent personal service.
"They will come back time and again," she adds.
"I'll sell a wedding dress to a mother and, years down the line, their daughters will come in looking for prom dresses. It's all about family."
Gill says brides deserve something original and special for their big walk down the aisle.
"Of course, many big name stores and even some supermarkets sell bridal wear. But girls want a nice, unique gown for their wedding day: something they are not going to see elsewhere!
"You can buy a dress from a multiple, high street retailer but do you want a dress that anybody can just walk past the shop window and see the price of?"
Gill understands the importance of larger stores, but explains smaller independents are also necessary for a booming and diverse city centre.
"They need us as much as we need them," she said.
"If big shops don't have independents, they won't get the people into the town because so many shops are out of town these days."
