Gay pride date is expecting to pull the crowds
REVELLERS from across the UK are set to visit Swansea on Saturday for the city's gay pride festival.
The event will be the first outdoor pride event to be held in the city, and is expected to attract crowds of up to 5,000.
Some people will be travelling hundreds of miles to make the all-day festival in the lacrosse field at Singleton Park.
Pride chairman Peter Martin told the Post: "We've had lots of interest, and people are coming from all over the country to make it. I've had people from North Wales booking tickets, and we have had a lot of interest from people in Manchester and London."
The event runs between 1pm and 9pm, with entertainment all day. Entry wristbands are available from Derricks Music in Oxford Street, Swansea, or at a higher price on the gate.
