Gavin & Stacey to get US remake
THE hit series set in Barry Island, Gavin & Stacey, is to get a US makeover.
Fox is set to remake the show, which starred Swansea actress Joanna Page as Stacey.

Writers and fellow stars, James Corden and Ruth Jones, have also signed up as executive producers but are not expected to feature in the show.
A half-hour pilot episode is currently being developed.

The original series, which focused on the love affair between Gavin, from Essex, and Stacey, from Barry, has already aired in the States on BBC America.
Other British TV hits have been remade for US audiences, including Ricky Gervais's The Office which won multiple awards.
