EVER fancied being a knight in shining armour, or maybe a princess?

Well, you can be both, or perhaps a court jester or a wizard in this new title for the Wii.

The game plunges you into a time when men were men and women were…er…women.

There are no poncey games here like football or tennis, but dragon slaying, jousting, sword fights and archery, and lots of others, including capturing pigs!

You choose your character and then play through a series of colourful mini-games.

Three friends can join you as you master various medieval skills.

There are three modes – storybook, tournament and free play.

Tournament pits you against other players or the computer in a series of challenges.

Storybook, meanwhile is more structured, with a giant pop-up book explaining the back-story, and then you moving through the game as if you were on a board, the roll of a virtual die deciding where you end up and what challenge you will face.

The Wii remote is used well in this game. You will be slashing with it to take on various foes or wielding it as a joust to knock your opponent off their horse.

Games are varied and fun, and the graphics are adequate, if a little rough around the edges in places, like when your character's legs sink into the ground.

But in most respects, this is the sort of game the Wii is all about and it's difficult to fault it for that very reason.
