Funding windfall brings branch a hi-tech boost
A NEATH community group has been able to buy a new laptop thanks to a funding grant.
RAF Regiment Association South and West Wales received £1,000 from the Red Nose Day grants earlier this year.
With the help of the Evening Post and the Community Foundation in Wales, cash was handed out in grants of £500 to £1,000 to groups doing great work to help local people living tough lives. Branch secretary Alan Day said they were very pleased to get the grant of £1,000.
"We had a laptop but it was seven years old so the money has been used for a new one," he said. "The funding will also go towards the bus tickets for the military tattoo in Birmingham which is in November."
