A pair of tasty French wines down in price in Morrisons caught my eye today — both are reduced from £5.49 to £4.49.

Produced by the ever-reliable Mont Tauch winery, the Le Dog de Charlotte Chardonnay is a deliciously fresh, crisp white which would be great with grilled fish or chikcken, while the Le Dog de Jean Marc Merlot is a light, fruity red with a nice bit of backbone.

Both are good value, and come complete with nice modern packaging featuring cartoon characters drawn by Yorkshire-based artist, Tim Bulmer.
