Free flu jab on offer to vulnerable
POWYS Teaching Health Board, which covers the upper Swansea Valley, is offering a free flu jab to those people who are at the greatest risk of flu.
Those aged 65 or over, pregnant women and those with health conditions such as asthma, chest or heart problems, lowered immunity and diabetes are all eligible for the free jab through their GP.
Jane Davies, the Powys board's health protection nurse, said: "The flu vaccine changes every year so even if you had a jab last year, you will need to get another this year to stay safe."
