Free child car seat safety checks in Ystradgynlais
UP to 69 per cent of children's car seats checked in Powys over the past year were not fitted correctly.
The finding comes after Powys Council's road safety unit carried out more than 350 car seat checks.
As a result, they are holding free child car seat checks at events across the county, including in the upper Swansea Valley.
Sarah Morris, the council's senior road safety officer, said: "Every year around 100,000 children in the UK are involved in collisions and the fitting of their car seat can have a serious impact on whether or not they are injured.

The road safety team will be in Tesco's car park in Ystradgynlais on Monday, March 11, between 9am and 3.30pm.
