Free buses for travelling Swansea City fans thanks to Capital One
LUCKY Swansea City fans already on a high from one of the club's most successful years have received another unexpected lift.
More than 30,000 Jack Army members will be making their way up the M4 for the Capital One Cup Final against Bradford City on Sunday, February 24.

And now in an attempt to reward loyal fans who have driven up and down the country backing the club, the credit card company which gives its name to the competition has decided to give supporters the chance to travel for free.
Twenty-one coaches — dubbed the Capital One Convoy — will set off on the morning of the game, giving 1,000 fans free travel to the match.

Michael Woodburn, chief marketing officer at Capital One, said: "Fans of both clubs face over a 300-mile round trip to Wembley and we wanted to reward their loyalty and thank them for their passionate support in the competition throughout the season.
"The journey to Wembley is part of the magic of a cup final day and the thousands of fans aboard the Capital One Convoy will be getting their day off to the best possible start."
Swans fans who have travelled to every round of the league cup will have clocked up a huge 1,156 miles.
The club took on Crawley away in the third round before travelling to Anfield to beat Liverpool 3-1.
They then beat Middlesbrough at the Liberty Stadium before going to London for the first-leg of their semi-final against Chelsea.
Demand was huge for tickets for the Capital One Cup final, with the Liberty Stadium club selling all 33,000 tickets.
In order to be in with a chance of wining the money-saving prize, all fans need to do email freebusfromcapitalone@ swanseacityfc.co.uk by 5pm today.
The email must include your full name, date of birth, the name of your passenger, and your season ticket number or Jack Army number.
Winners will be allocated two bus seats and will be notified via email.

“Christhejak, classic new age fan, loyalty points new word for the new fan, you would not know what it is like to stand on the terraces, people like you will not and were not seen in lower divs. bet you were like the thousands of others that was not at the Barnsley game (because it was Barnsley who are they), kept our ticket stubs as they are the fans that support them, not with loyalty points, just to let your know we use to play at a plot of land in the Sandfields called the Vetch”

Depends on how you class deserving. I have attended 8 home games this year (the most I could due to work commitments) but am not a JA member as I pretty much knew it would be a meaningless £25 outlay as I dont go to away games. I have been a trust member since it's founding.
Am I less deserving than the host of people who have only been to a few games in their life but happen to be married or related to a ST holder? I know at least 3 people that have tickets and who's only ever Swans match was the playoff final.
Now I will admit I could have had a chance had I been willing to pay the extra £25 for JA membership even a few days before the sale but I see no difference in doing that to paying a tout a surcharge. Also from what I've heard less than 500 tickets actually made it to the JA 0 points group anyway.”

So a third to the 2 teams and a third to the sponsors and the hangers on. That is almost usual and not that strange. The capacity of the liberty is only 21(?) so the Swand are getting almost 50% more tickets than their average crowd.”

“CHRISTHEJAC r u speaking on behalf of Jenkins and co, they do not give 2 hoots for the fans they just want to count £sssssss, many, many fans are missing out because of the ticket policy 2 each to season ticket holders, the way it worked before if are a LONG STANDING Swans fan was season ticket holder x1 ticket first and get the best seats, fair enough and the rest had to stand in long lines and wait as we had done for years. EVEN Jackarmy memebers MISSED OUT and what about SUPPORTERS TRUST, been a PAID up member for 12years (me and my family) not one word from them. CHECK THE SWANSEA CITY OFFICIAL WEB SITE IT STATES every member of the trust OWNS A SMALL PIECE OF THE CLUB, MAYBE WE SHOULD BAND TOGETHER and get them REMOVED and put a claim in for our little piece”

“My neighbour was in Neath Rugby Club on Saturday, and he was offered a pair of Swansea tickets to see the match, for £600.00 the pair, the most sickening part was the seller has never seen Swansea play at any level, he had bought the tickets using his nephews season ticket, as his nephew is at the moment, in Dubai, and can not go to see them play. My neighbour told him to shove them up his ****in* ar*e, he said I felt like taking them, and ripping them up into shreds, then ramming them down his throat. So we know that the real supporters that have followed Swansea from when they were still wearing nappies will not be getting the tickets. It is Bloo*y sickening. The real supporters can not afford the season tickets, the season ticket holders didn't buy them to watch Swansea, they bought them so that they could watch the bigger clubs, for cheaP.”

“Why wasnt this offer made public 2 weeks ago. Everyone will have already paid for coach seats etc by now.
The official travel club is now fully booked, so at least those who were late to book on those coaches can now go on the free ones.
I cant see any coach firm giving refunds on seats already paid for.”
