Folly Farm investment to provide home for endangered Humboldt penguins
AN endangered species of penguin will soon find a new home at a Pembrokeshire family attraction celebrating 25 years in business.
Folly Farm at Kilgetty has invested £500,000 in an enclosure which will provide capacity for up to 40 Humboldt penguins.
Around 15 of the warm climate creatures will be arriving when construction of the enclosure is completed in the spring.
The venue is also extending its popular Jolly Barn attraction, which already houses farmyard animals and a petting area, as well as an interactive learning zone and a play area.

The barn is increasing in size by a third, with a £150,000 investment to allow the development of a new 'cwtch corner' where families can handle small animals, a chicken incubation area and a goat milking station.
Folly Farm managing director Chris Ebsworth said: "It's important to us as a business that we keep reinvesting."
