TWO companies from Llanelli are in the running to be crowned winners at this year's South Wales Chamber of Commerce Awards, held in association with the University of Glamorgan Business School.

Chromogenex Technologies is battling it out to be named most promising growth business, while Parker Plant Hire is hoping to scoop the skills and people development award.

Both firms will find out whether they are winners at a ceremony taking place at City Hall, Cardiff, today.

Graham Morgan, director of the South Wales Chamber of Commerce, said: "Each and every one of the shortlisted firms and individuals should be justifiably proud of beating off the hundreds of entrants to get to this exciting, final stage."
