Firefighters tackle grass fires overnight
FIREFIGHTERS attended several small grass fires last night.
A Swansea Central crew attended a grass fire at Carmarthen Road in Cwmbwrla at 8.04pm. Firefighters left the scene at 8.27pm after the blaze was extinguished.
Firefighters also attended at grass fire between Horton and Slade in the Gower at 9.25pm.
A fire service spokeswoman said: "Some of it was extinguished and some of it was allowed to burn due to the difficult terrain."

The Reynoldston crew left the scene at 10.06pm.
A second grass fire was also attended by the service in Horton close to a property at 10.09pm which was also attended by the Reynoldston crew.
A Gorseinon crew attended a grass fire at Llanrhidian Caravan Park at 10.35pm which was extinguished on arrival.
Firefighters also attended a grass fire at Heol Y Glyn in Cymmer at 12.40am.
The crew extinguished the blaze on arrival.
