Firefighters rescue six from store lift drama
SIX people were rescued from a lift in the Primark store in Swansea city centre.
Firefighters from Swansea were dispatched to the store at Whitewalls at 2.12pm yesterday after a call from the shop's managers.
Crews joined lift engineers in rescuing the shoppers from the lift, which had become stuck between two floors.
A spokesman for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the Primark store manager mentioned children being among those stuck in the lift.

The spokesman added: "The lift carriage got stuck between two floors.
"Ourselves, along with a lift engineer which the store had called, ended up rescuing the people.
"Six people in total were rescued from the lift."
Firefighters left the scene at 2.46pm.

“It can be quite frightening being stuck in a lift and there is nothing worse than being stuck in there for ages waiting for the lift engineers to arrive! Luckily the engineers at Sheridan Lifts came almost instant and were there on the phone to me when I used the call button!
Well done to the lift engineers here who rescued the trapped passengers!”
