Fine victory for Llandeilo
LlANDEILO Under-10s, under the leadership of Arwel Lewis, fielded a strong team on Sunday at Cae William against Pontyberem.
And in heavy conditions, the pressure told on the visitors.
Llandeilo rattled in three quick well-taken touchdowns in the first half. A brace from Tomos Davies and another by William Charles-Davies saw them go in at the interval 15-0 up.
From the restart Llandeilo took control by scoring three further tries, one each for Charles-Davies and Davies and another for Ben Evans.

Pontyberem did up the tempo in the second half, but some resolute defending kept them at bay, apart from one phase when Quami Smith scored a consolation try to bring the score to 30-5 at the final whistle.
The Towy Valley side showed great alertness in defence, tackling well and putting Pontyberem on the back foot for most of the fixture.
The Llandeilo try scorers were assisted by Jac Beynon, Dyfan Roberts, Rhydian Tiddy, Jannes Van Winden and new recruits Lewis Perkins and Trystan Llyr Davies.
They all showed determination which was rewarded with a deserved victory, as did Reuben Williams who returned from North Wales to play for Llandeilo.
Llandeilo face St Clears at home on Sunday, February 24 at 11am.
