Federation of Small Businesses calls for greater information on access to funding for SMEs
A GROUP fighting the corner of small businesses across Wales has called for greater access to information on European funding, where it can be found and how it can be accessed.
The Federation of Small Businesses Wales (FSB Wales) has called on the Welsh Government to review the role and responsibilities of the Wales European Funding Office (WEFO).
Welsh Policy Unit chair for the Federation of Small Businesses, Janet Jones, said: "Too often businesses hear about programmes through word of mouth.
"Many businesses that would be eligible could be missing out on potentially important funding."

Mrs Jones added: "Clearly there is work to be done to ensure that businesses understand what support they are entitled to and how they can access it.
"Small companies across Wales also tell me that they find the range of programmes confusing, too rigid and the application process time-consuming."
