Family's tribute to motorcyclist killed in road collision near Bridgend

The family of a motorcyclist who was killed on New Year's Eve near Bridgend have paid tribute to "an energetic, outgoing person with a love of life."

Dwain Gareth Joyce, 29, from Oxford Street, Pontycymer, Bridgend was killed in a road traffic collision which happened shortly after 3pm in Gwendoline Street, Blaengarw.

Mr Joyce’s family said in a statement via South Wales Police: "Dwain was an energetic, outgoing person with a love of life.

"He will be sorely missed as a son, brother and partner and has tragically died doing something he loved.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Officers also want to hear from people in the area who may have heard the noise of the off-road motorcycle before the incident occurred.
